The purpose of this summary is to provide a current account of project activities, milestones and decisions related to the implementation of the Marshalls Creek Traffic Relief Project.
Activities on Main Project:
The Project Web site is being updated as needed. Current activities and status of the project can be found at www.marshallscreektrafficrelief.com.
The Dewberry Team continues to advance the Final Design in accordance with the latest schedule for a spring 2010 letting.
Environmental permitting process continues; all permits have been resubmitted to the corresponding agency.
Consultant engineers will communicate regularly with permitting agencies to ensure environmental review timelines are met.
Structural team has determined that the most appropriate structure to traverse Leaps Bog will be an Integral Abutment Bridge.
Continue Coordination Meetings as needed.
Activities on Park-and-Ride Project:
The Phase II Park-and-Ride contract ($6.36 million) was awarded on January 26, 2009.
Contractor began work on March 30, 2009.
Park-and-Ride and new US 209 intersection with Mt. Nebo Road/relocated Oak Grove Drive opened on Nov. 23, 2009.
